Unauthenticated account access via trusted proxy header
Published Sep 30, 2026 · Updated Sep 30, 2026
Authentication bypass in YunoHost-Apps SOGo for YunoHost before 5.8.0~ynh9 lets remote attackers access accounts without a password. The package enables SOGoTrustProxyAuthentication, which trusts x-webobjects-remote-user, while its Nginx proxy forwards a client-supplied value instead of stripping it. A client able to reach the SOGo web endpoint can impersonate a named account, including a privileged account.
