Authenticated SSRF via unvalidated image_url fetch
Published Aug 17, 2026 · Updated Aug 18, 2026
Server-side request forgery in KiraIO PromptShopMCP allows authenticated attackers to reach internal HTTP services via image_url. In server.py, the shared download_image() helper passes caller-controlled URLs from generate_image_from_url and remove_background directly to requests.get() and only checks Content-Type and image validity after the outbound request is sent, with no scheme, host, or IP-range validation. Exposure requires access to those MCP tools, and the flaw can be used for internal service probing, metadata access, and forwarding attacker-chosen image responses to downstream Gemini, remove.bg, or freeimage.host processing; the affected public revision is 5bc0cd17358e19a5415d11a531088170d7b81452.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
