Local privilege escalation in ESET Cyber Security and Endpoint Security for macOS allows local users to execute code as root after a system restart. A root-privileged XPC service accepts unauthenticated connections and writes attacker-controlled plist content into the LaunchDaemon directory. An unprivileged local account is required, and execution occurs when the system next restarts.
