Stored XSS via unsanitized analytics chart rendering
Published May 14, 2026 · Updated May 14, 2026
Stored XSS in GitLab EE before 18.9.7, 18.10.6, or 18.11.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in other users' browsers. The Analytics dashboard chart renderer fails to sanitize attacker-controlled chart content before inserting it into a page. Developer-role access is required to supply the content, and execution occurs when another user views the affected chart, enabling browser-context data access or actions as that viewer.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=16.4 <18.9.7
