Administrator command execution via workspace path injection
Published Aug 17, 2026 · Updated Aug 17, 2026
OS command injection in SiYuan before 3.7.4 allows local users to execute arbitrary commands as Administrator via a crafted workspace path. In AddMicrosoftDefenderExclusion(), SiYuan concatenates installPath and util.WorkspaceDir into one ShellExecute argument string with strings.Join, and the bundled elevator.exe helper prepends cmd /c and runs that line without restricting operations or neutralizing metacharacters. Reachability is local and Windows-specific: an attacker must control or induce use of a malicious workspace directory and obtain the expected UAC approval from the Defender exclusion flow, after which the injected command inherits Administrator privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
