Unauthorized template disclosure via stale include cache
Published Aug 16, 2026 · Updated Aug 16, 2026
Authorization bypass in Scriban before 7.0.0 allows remote attackers to read previously authorized template content via stale cached includes. TemplateContext.Reset() does not clear the CachedTemplates dictionary, and IncludeFunction.Invoke() reuses GetOrCreateTemplate() results without calling ITemplateLoader.Load() again when a path is already cached. Exposure requires TemplateContext reuse with Reset() between renders and a request-dependent ITemplateLoader; in that configuration, one request can prime admin- or tenant-specific include content for later unrelated renders.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
