CVE-2026-74786Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Process crash via cumulative output limit bypass

Published Aug 16, 2026 · Updated Aug 16, 2026

Denial of service in Scriban before 7.0.0 allows attackers to crash the host application via templates that exhaust memory. In TemplateContext.Helpers.cs, ObjectToString resets _currentToStringLength on each top-level call, and StringBuilderOutput imposes no cumulative output cap, so a loop can append many near-limit strings despite LimitToString. Reachability requires control of template content in an application that renders Scriban templates; the published impact is an out-of-memory process crash rather than data exposure or code execution.
