CVE-2026-74765Hinoki check available

Memory disclosure or crash via delta overflow

Published Sep 22, 2026 · Updated Sep 22, 2026

Out-of-bounds read in Net::IDN::Punycode before 2.590 allows attackers to disclose memory or crash a process via crafted text. The XS encode_punycode routine accumulates delta in a signed integer without an overflow check, then accepts a wrapped negative or 36 index for its 36-byte digit table. Only the XS backend is affected, and an application must pass attacker-supplied text to an encoding path; the consequence is limited to memory disclosure or process termination.
