CVE-2026-7474Network attack vector

Authenticated client-host code execution via plugin path traversal

Published May 12, 2026 · Updated May 12, 2026

Path traversal in HashiCorp Nomad and Nomad Enterprise 1.10.0 through 2.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute code. The dynamic host-volume client joins an unvalidated PluginID to the plugin directory, lets dot-dot segments escape it, and invokes the resolved executable. Exploitation requires host-volume-create and node-read permissions plus an executable at a known client path; execution uses the Nomad agent account.
