CVE-2026-74697Network attack vector

Received-data corruption via overlapping AGG-ring padding

Published Aug 22, 2026 · Updated Aug 25, 2026

Data corruption in affected Linux kernel branches allows remote attackers to overwrite received data through the bnxt_en driver. The receive aggregation path enables end-of-frame padding on the AGG ring, allowing one segment's zero padding to overlap valid bytes in the next when Relaxed Ordering is active. Exposure requires TPA with AGG-ring EOP and Relaxed Ordering; affected P5 and older adapters do not automatically disable the unsafe combination.
