CVE-2026-74659

Information disclosure via uncleared MRP frame bytes

Published Aug 22, 2026 · Updated Aug 22, 2026

Information disclosure in Linux kernel MRP bridging allows remote attackers to read three uninitialized bytes in MRA MRP_Test frames. The MRA branch of br_mrp_alloc_test_skb() appends a sub-TLV with skb_put() without initializing its length or two alignment bytes. Exposure requires MRA ring-role operation and access to the local Layer 2 network carrying the frames; no data modification or interruption is reported.
