Local kernel panic via zero-mapping counter overflow

Integer overflow in Linux 5.17 through 7.1.8 allows local users to crash the kernel by creating numerous zero-page mappings. The page_table_check_set() and page_table_check_clear() paths misclassify shared zero-page PTEs and huge zero PMDs as file-backed mappings, allowing file_map_count to overflow and reach BUG_ON(). Any unprivileged local process can reach the affected accounting paths; exploitation triggers a kernel panic and system-wide service interruption.
