CVE-2026-74599

Unspecified impact via page-table dump race

Published Aug 22, 2026 · Updated Aug 22, 2026

Race condition in Linux kernel ptdump allows attackers to cause unspecified impact via concurrent kernel page-table freeing. ptdump_walk_pgd() can walk a non-init_mm page table without locking init_mm even though its shared kernel mappings can be freed concurrently. The Linux CNA has not published the required access level or a bounded security consequence for winning the race.
