CVE-2026-7454

Code execution via unchecked WRL buffer copy

Published May 26, 2026 · Updated May 26, 2026

Memory corruption in Autodesk 3ds Max 2026 and 2027 allows attackers to execute code by opening a maliciously crafted WRL file. Autodesk identifies the weakness as a buffer copy performed without checking the input size, but has not disclosed the affected WRL parser routine. Exploitation requires user interaction and runs arbitrary code only in the context of the current 3ds Max process.
