Kernel use-after-free via unlocked socket dereference
Published Aug 15, 2026 · Updated Aug 15, 2026
Use-after-free in Bluetooth ISO socket handling in affected Linux releases allows adjacent remote attackers to dereference a freed socket. iso_conn_ready reads conn->sk without the connection lock or a retained socket reference, allowing iso_sock_release to clear and free the socket before lock_sock uses it. Reachability requires the connection-ready and socket-close paths to race; successful triggering can corrupt kernel memory or interrupt the system.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
