CVE-2026-74448

Queue-slot exhaustion via unreleased QID bitmap bits

Published Aug 15, 2026 · Updated Aug 15, 2026

Resource leak in affected Linux kernel versions allows attackers to exhaust AMD KFD queue slots via first-queue allocation failures. In pqm_create_queue(), the MES error path returns before clear_bit() releases the reserved QID in queue_slot_bitmap. MES must be enabled and kernel-memory allocation must fail during a process's first queue creation; repeated failures eventually prevent additional queues.
