System crash via missing callback server record

Denial of service in the Linux kernel AFS callback service allows remote attackers to crash the system via a crafted callback request. The afs_deliver_cb_init_call_back_state3 function compares a request UUID with call->server->_uuid without first checking whether RxRPC peer app data supplied call->server. The AFS filesystem and RxRPC transport must be enabled and the callback service reachable; an unmapped peer can trigger a NULL-pointer dereference that interrupts the host.
