Kernel crash via invalid allocation pointer dereference
Published Aug 15, 2026 · Updated Aug 15, 2026
NULL-pointer dereference in Linux 6.19 allows local users to crash the kernel by inducing memory pressure in the CCP TIO path. sev_tsm_init_locked() passes a failed __snp_alloc_firmware_pages() result to page_address() and treats its invalid nonzero output as valid. Exploitation requires local access, an architecture without HASHED_PAGE_VIRTUAL, and a failed firmware-page allocation; the reported impact is a kernel crash.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
