CVE-2026-74377

Kernel out-of-bounds reads via mutable receive WQE

Published Aug 15, 2026 · Updated Aug 15, 2026

Out-of-bounds access in affected Linux kernel releases allows local users to trigger reads beyond an RXE receive WQE buffer. In the non-SRQ responder path, rxe_resp_check_length() and copy_data() read num_sge and SGE entries directly from a queue shared with userspace, so a concurrent change invalidates validated lengths. Reachability requires local low-privileged access to modify a mapped non-SRQ QP receive queue; the record establishes kernel out-of-bounds reads but identifies no specific leak, crash, or code-execution result.
