Administrator stored XSS via unescaped imported snippets
Published May 29, 2026 · Updated May 29, 2026
Stored XSS in Saad Iqbal Post Snippets 4.0.19 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to run scripts via imported snippets. The jqueryUiDialog() method in WPEditor.php places imported snippet content in double-quoted JavaScript strings without escaping quotes, so crafted content breaks into executable script. Administrator access on a WordPress multisite installation is required; the script runs when an administrator opens a post editor, while single-site installations are outside the reported impact because administrators already possess unfiltered_html.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
