CVE-2026-74241Network attack vectorHinoki check available

User-enumeration oracle via unescaped LDAP referral username

Published Aug 14, 2026 · Updated Aug 14, 2026

LDAP injection in Red Hat Quay 3 and OpenShift Update Service allows remote attackers to enumerate users through LDAP referrals. The referral handler inserts an unescaped username into an LDAP filter evaluated at the referral DN, allowing filter metacharacters to create a user-existence oracle. The path requires external LDAP authentication and a returned referral; direct authentication bypass is blocked, while Red Hat reports unintended password-bind DNs in multi-domain Active Directory.
