Admin file deletion via unsanitized diagnostic paths
Published Sep 4, 2026 · Updated Sep 4, 2026
Path traversal in GFI Exinda AI and ClearView before 7.6.5 allows remote authenticated users with Admin privileges to delete arbitrary files. The diagnostic deletion handler passes v_file_row_-prefixed values to unlink_or_email_file(), which appends them to a base path without rejecting traversal sequences. Admin access to the network web interface is required, and successful requests delete files with root-level process authority.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
