Arbitrary file read via unsanitized download path
Published Sep 4, 2026 · Updated Sep 8, 2026
Path traversal in GFI Exinda AI and ClearView before 7.6.5 allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary files as root. The wcf_handle_download() function appends v_del_-prefixed parameter values directly to the base configuration directory without rejecting traversal sequences. Admin privileges are required, and the published impact is limited to confidentiality through arbitrary file reads in the root context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
