Authenticated denial of service via unchecked strcpy
Published Apr 29, 2026 · Updated Apr 29, 2026
Buffer overflow in UTT HiPER 1250GW 3.2.7-210907-180535 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to crash the router. The ConfigAdvideo handler passes the Profile input to strcpy without checking its length, overflowing the destination associated with the selected instance. Administrative HTTP Digest credentials are required, and the published proof of concept demonstrates denial of service rather than code execution.
