Authenticated service interruption via Profile buffer overflow
Published Apr 29, 2026 · Updated Apr 29, 2026
Buffer overflow in UTT HiPER 1250GW 3.2.7-210907-180535 allows remote authenticated users to interrupt the router through Profile input. The formTaskEdit_ap handler passes the attacker-controlled Profile value to strcpy without checking the destination buffer's capacity. Reachability requires authenticated access to the web management interface, and the published request demonstrates denial of service rather than code execution.
