Authenticated router crash via unchecked Profile copy
Published Apr 29, 2026 · Updated Apr 29, 2026
Buffer overflow in UTT HiPER 1250GW 3.2.7-210907-180535 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to crash the router via a crafted NTP request. The /goform/NTP handler passes the attacker-controlled Profile value to strcpy without checking its length before copying it into a fixed destination buffer. A valid administrator Digest session and enabled SNTP settings are required; the published proof of concept demonstrates denial of service, not code execution.
