Path traversal in Eclipse BaSyx Java Server SDK before 2.0.0-milestone-10 allows remote attackers to write arbitrary host files. SubmodelServiceHTTPApiController passes the fileName upload parameter through createUniqueFileName, which concatenates it into a repository path without normalization or boundary checks. Network access to the Submodel HTTP API and an existing Submodel File element are required; writable startup or credential files can yield code execution as the Java process.
