CVE-2026-7406

Code execution via crafted BMP pointer dereference

Published Aug 6, 2026 · Updated Aug 6, 2026

Untrusted pointer dereference in Autodesk AutoCAD, AutoCAD LT, and Revit allows attackers to execute code when a user opens a crafted BMP file. The BMP parser dereferences an untrusted pointer while processing attacker-controlled file data; Autodesk has not disclosed the affected library or pointer-validation failure. Exploitation requires user interaction and runs code in the current process, bounding its privileges to those of the user running the affected application.
