File disclosure and deletion via unchecked CDB paths
Published Oct 13, 2026 · Updated Oct 13, 2026
Path traversal in Wazuh manager CDB handlers before 4.14.8 allows attackers to read or delete master files via cluster RPC. The get_lists() and delete_list_file() handlers construct paths from supplied filenames without enforcing containment within the CDB lists directory. Exploitation requires control of a cluster worker and bypasses REST validation and RBAC; full disclosure requires colon-delimited content, other files expose an existence/readability oracle, and deletion is limited to the Wazuh installation tree.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
