Catalog disclosure via omitted caller authorization policies
Published Oct 13, 2026 · Updated Oct 13, 2026
Authorization bypass in Wazuh manager before 4.14.8 allows remote authenticated users to read the RBAC catalog via API requests. The security_controller.py handlers for GET /security/actions and GET /security/resources construct DistributedAPI calls without forwarding the caller's RBAC policies, bypassing the security:read_config check. A low-privileged account and network access to the API are sufficient to enumerate privileged actions and endpoint mappings; the flaw does not itself grant those privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.

CVSS describes severity. EPSS estimates exploitation probability.
Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
