Administrator session hijacking via stored registration fields
Published Apr 29, 2026 · Updated Apr 29, 2026
Stored XSS in SourceCodester CET Automated Grading System 1.0 allows remote attackers to run script in an administrator browser. The public registration handler stores student_id, full_name, section, and username values without sanitizing or encoding them before the admin dashboard renders the values as HTML. No authentication is needed to plant a payload, but execution requires an administrator to view the dashboard, enabling actions in that administrator session.
