Database read via profile sync SQL injection
Published Aug 20, 2026 · Updated Aug 20, 2026
SQL injection in WP w3all phpBB before 3.0.6 allows remote authenticated users to read database contents via profile updates. WordPress.org attributes the fix to class.wp.w3all-phpbb.php, specifically phpbb_update_profile($user_id, $old_user_data), and says the flaw is triggered when the plugin synchronizes BuddyPress profile changes into phpBB. Public sources do not disclose the exact SQL fragment, but the fix record ties the injection to that profile-sync routine and Patchstack rates the required privilege as Subscriber.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
