Subscriber code execution via preview callback
Published Aug 20, 2026 · Updated Aug 20, 2026
Remote code execution in Jonathan Daggerhart Query Wrangler before 1.5.58 allows remote authenticated users to execute code via crafted AJAX options. The qw_form_ajax preview handler accepted subscriber-supplied options, overwrote stored query settings, and reached the callback field's call_user_func_array() path with attacker-selected function names and parameters. Subscriber access to admin-ajax.php and at least one existing query row are required, but the vulnerable path lacked the additional capability and nonce checks later added in admin/ajax.php.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
