Improper access control in Oracle Helidon Imperative Web Server 4.5.0 allows remote attackers to read some data and disrupt service via HTTP. Oracle has not published the implementation-level root cause for this CVE. Helidon 4.5.1 added GraphQL authentication by default plus query-depth and query-complexity limits, which aligns with the disclosed read and partial DoS outcomes but does not prove the exact vulnerable path. Exploitation requires network reachability to the affected HTTP endpoint and no prior authentication; the published impact is limited to reading a subset of application-exposed data and causing partial service interruption, not data modification or full server takeover.
