CVE-2026-73843

Unauthenticated pod command execution via exposed management APIs

Published Aug 13, 2026 · Updated Aug 13, 2026

Missing authentication in OpenChoreo before 1.0.2 and 1.1.0 through 1.1.1 allows remote attackers to execute commands in workload pods. The cluster-gateway server placed /api/proxy/ and /api/exec/ on the externally published agent listener without authenticating callers or applying API-server authorization. Only multi-cluster deployments that publish the gateway outside the cluster are affected; reachable attackers can proxy the Kubernetes API, disclose or alter workload data, and interrupt services.
