Unauthenticated build triggers via provider confusion
Published Aug 13, 2026 · Updated Aug 13, 2026
Authentication bypass in OpenChoreo before 1.0.3, 1.1.0 through 1.1.2, and 1.2.0-rc.1 allows remote attackers to trigger builds. The POST /api/v1alpha1/autobuild handler trusts the caller-controlled X-Event-Key provider choice, while its Bitbucket path accepts requests without a valid configured HMAC secret. Exposure requires network reachability, an auto-build component, and knowledge of its repository and branch; repeated triggers consume build resources, and auto-deploy runs attacker-influenced code.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=< 1.0.3
- Affected versionversion=>= 1.1.0, < 1.1.3
