Secret disclosure via fork-controlled reusable workflow resolution
Published Oct 14, 2026 · Updated Oct 14, 2026
Code injection in Gitea Actions before 1.27.2 allows remote authenticated users to read secrets via fork pull requests. The loadReusableWorkflowSource function reads local reusable workflow files from the fork's head commit instead of the trusted base commit for pull_request_target runs. Exploitation requires Actions enabled, permission to open a fork pull request, and a base workflow calling a local reusable workflow; injected code accesses repository and organization secrets available to that run.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
