Root command execution via malformed CLI input
Published Sep 1, 2026 · Updated Sep 3, 2026
Command injection in the AOS-CX command-line interface allows local users with low privileges to execute arbitrary commands as root. The interface improperly processes malformed CLI input, but HPE has not disclosed the affected command, parser operation, or validation failure. Exploitation requires local low-privilege access and user interaction; successful execution grants full control of the underlying network-switch operating system.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
