Command execution via unescaped external-program arguments
Published Sep 10, 2026 · Updated Sep 10, 2026
OS command injection in FileRun before 2026.3.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands through preview settings. CLI.php replaces escapeshellcmd() with a no-op, allowing crafted image_preview.php arguments or stored FFmpeg options to reach exec() without escaping. Superuser access is required to supply the payload, which runs with the FileRun web process when checked directly or when any user triggers a video thumbnail.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
