Authenticated code execution via upload-pack option injection
Published Aug 14, 2026 · Updated Aug 14, 2026
OS command injection in Semaphore before 2.18.17 and 2.19.0-alpha3 through 2.19.5-beta1 allows remote authenticated users to execute code. CmdGitClient.GetLastRemoteCommitHash passes an unvalidated repository git_url to git ls-remote without an option delimiter, allowing --upload-pack content to reach a shell. A Manager or Owner role on any project and the default cmd_git client are sufficient; execution occurs in the main server process with its secrets and privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
