Fleet-wide robot control via unrestricted MQTT topics
Published Jun 12, 2026 · Updated Jun 12, 2026
Missing authorization in Yarbo cloud MQTT infrastructure allows remote authenticated users to read fleet telemetry and issue robot commands. The broker accepts wildcard subscriptions across all robots and command-topic publications keyed only by serial numbers disclosed in telemetry. Any valid shared or per-user credential reaches the fleet-wide topics, exposing telemetry and permitting operational command injection without per-device authorization.
