Unauthenticated code execution via unsandboxed scratchpad exec
Published Aug 14, 2026 · Updated Aug 14, 2026
Code injection in MindsDB Minds Platform 26.1.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute OS commands through crafted agent prompts. The unauthenticated POST /api/v1/responses/ route passes attacker-influenced Python source to the Anton scratchpad tool, which invokes exec() without sandboxing. Reachability to the API and an attacker-supplied LLM API key are sufficient; commands run with the desktop application's OS privileges and can read or alter its accessible data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
