Administrator takeover via Caller ID SQL injection
Published Aug 13, 2026 · Updated Aug 13, 2026
SQL injection in FreePBX Missed Call Notification before 16.0.11 and 17.0.1 through 17.0.5 allows remote attackers to alter PBX data. The missedcallnotify.php logger interpolates the SIP From header's Caller ID name into a missedcalllog INSERT without escaping or parameters. Exploitation requires an unanswered call to a monitored extension; altering administrator records grants unauthorized remote access.
