Cross-tenant notification deletion via missing realm checks
Published Aug 13, 2026 · Updated Aug 13, 2026
Cross-realm IDOR in OpenRemote 1.27.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to delete other tenants' notifications. The removeNotifications and removeNotification methods pass an attacker-supplied realm or notification identifier to deletion services without calling resolveAndAuthoriseRealm or applying a realm filter. A write:admin role in any realm is sufficient, and deletion permanently removes safety, security, operational, and audit records across tenants.
