Filesystem existence disclosure via unconstrained path probe
Published Aug 13, 2026 · Updated Aug 13, 2026
Path traversal in SiYuan before 3.7.4 allows remote attackers to determine whether arbitrary host files and directories exist. The /api/file/getUniqueFilename handler sends an unvalidated request-body path through GetUniqueFilename to gulu.File.IsExist without workspace confinement, and its suffix-changing response reveals existence. Reachability requires publish mode with anonymous access or a RoleReader account; the oracle exposes only path existence and layout, not file contents or writes.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
