Authenticated RCE via moment locale validation bypass
Published Aug 13, 2026 · Updated Aug 13, 2026
Sandbox escape in Flowise before 3.1.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code through a crafted custom function. The default vm2 sandbox permits moment, whose locale check invokes attacker-controlled match on a fake String, enabling traversal to stored JavaScript that Node.js loads outside the sandbox. The attacker must log in, upload a payload to a document store, and invoke the custom-function endpoint; exploitation compromises the Flowise server.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
