Sandbox escape via ANGLE use-after-free
Published Apr 28, 2026 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Use after free in ANGLE in Google Chrome before 147.0.7727.138 allows remote attackers to escape the sandbox via crafted HTML. ANGLE reuses memory after an object's lifetime ends; Google keeps the bug restricted, so the affected object and code path are undisclosed. Exploitation requires a previously compromised renderer process; success crosses Chrome's sandbox boundary and exposes host resources.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
