Authentication bypass via omitted CRL enforcement
Published Sep 23, 2026 · Updated Sep 23, 2026
Certificate-revocation bypass in Apache Tomcat 9, 10.1, and 11 allows remote attackers to authenticate with revoked client certificates. The OpenSSL and OpenSSL-FFM TLS paths failed to load the configured CRL into the OpenSSL trust store and enable CRL checking when the server key came from a Java keystore. Exposure requires client-certificate authentication with OpenSSL trust, a keystore-held server key, a configured CRL, and a revoked certificate trusted by the server.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=10.1.0-M1 <=10.1.59
- Affected versionversion=11.0.0-M1 <=11.0.25
- Affected versionversion=8.5.0 <=8.50.100
