Sandboxed code execution via Animation use-after-free
Published Apr 28, 2026 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Use-after-free in Google Chrome's Animation component before 147.0.7727.138 allows remote attackers to execute code in the sandbox via crafted HTML. The public record identifies Animation as the lifetime-management locus but does not disclose the freed object's type or the stale-reference path. A victim must load the page, and reported execution remains confined to Chrome's sandbox without a separately demonstrated escape.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
