Sandboxed code execution via Media use-after-free
Published Apr 28, 2026 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Use-after-free in Google Chrome's Media component before 147.0.7727.138 allows remote attackers to execute code in its sandbox via crafted HTML. The component accesses a media-related object after its lifetime has ended, but the restricted Chromium issue does not disclose the object, function, or triggering sequence. A victim must load the attacker-controlled page; resulting code execution remains inside the browser sandbox, with no published sandbox escape for this flaw.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
